startph Privacy Policy
At startph, your personal data is handled with the same care and discretion we apply to everything else on this platform — seriously and responsibly. This Privacy Policy explains precisely what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and what rights you hold as a data subject under Philippine law.
How startph Treats Your Data
These principles guide every data processing decision we make. They are not marketing language — they are operational commitments enforced by our compliance with PAGCOR regulations and the Philippine Data Privacy Act.
startph only collects personal data that is directly necessary for operating your Account, processing transactions, fulfilling PAGCOR KYC obligations, and improving your gaming experience. We do not collect data speculatively or sell it to third-party marketers.
All personal data transmitted to and from startph is encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols. Sensitive data at rest — including identity documents and financial records — is stored with AES-256 encryption on PAGCOR-compliant infrastructure located within or audited for the Philippine jurisdiction.
As a data subject under RA 10173, you have enforceable rights including access, correction, erasure, and objection to processing. startph has a dedicated data subject request process and a registered Data Protection Officer (DPO) to handle your requests promptly and professionally.
Your data is only shared with third parties where strictly necessary — payment processors like GCash and Maya, identity verification partners, and regulatory bodies such as PAGCOR and the AMLC. We do not share your data for advertising purposes without your explicit consent.
startph retains personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including compliance with Philippine regulatory retention requirements. When data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with our data retention schedule.
startph publishes this Privacy Policy in plain, readable English. We notify registered users of any material changes before they take effect. You will never be surprised by how your data is used — if something changes, we tell you clearly and give you the opportunity to review the updated terms.
This Privacy Policy is issued by the operator of the startph platform ("startph," "we," "us," or "our"), a PAGCOR-regulated online gaming entity operating the website accessible at startph.app and all associated subdomains and mobile-optimized interfaces.
startph is registered and operates under the jurisdiction of the Republic of the Philippines, subject to the oversight of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) and the regulatory framework established by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) under Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA) and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).
For all privacy-related inquiries, startph has designated a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as required by the DPA. Contact details for our DPO are provided in Section 14 of this policy.

Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time through your Account settings or by contacting our support team. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before withdrawal.

startph does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 21. Our KYC and age verification process is specifically designed to detect and reject registrations from underage individuals at the point of account creation. Any Account subsequently found to have been registered by a person under 21 years of age will be immediately closed and all personal data associated with that Account will be deleted, except where retention is required by applicable law.
If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that an individual under 21 in your care has submitted personal data to startph, please contact our Data Protection Officer immediately using the details in Section 14. We will investigate and take prompt corrective action.
Age Gate: 21+ ONLY — startph employs both automated age-gate checks and manual review of submitted identity documents to enforce this restriction. We take underage access extremely seriously and cooperate fully with PAGCOR's underage gambling prevention programs.
In certain circumstances, personal data processed by startph may be transferred to or accessed by service providers located outside the Republic of the Philippines — for example, cloud infrastructure providers operating data centers in other jurisdictions, or internationally-based KYC verification partners.
Any such cross-border transfer of personal data is conducted strictly in accordance with Section 21 of the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and NPC guidelines on cross-border data flows. startph ensures that adequate safeguards are in place before any transfer occurs, including:
- Binding data processing agreements incorporating NPC-compliant contractual clauses;
- Transfers only to countries or organizations that provide an equivalent level of data protection as recognized by the NPC;
- Where no adequacy determination exists, implementation of approved transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent contractual safeguards.
startph's primary data processing infrastructure is hosted within or specifically audited for compliance with Philippine jurisdiction requirements as a condition of PAGCOR licensing. Cross-border transfers are limited to ancillary services where a Philippine-located equivalent is not available.
startph reserves the right to update or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data processing practices, changes in Philippine law or PAGCOR regulations, or improvements to Platform features that affect how personal data is collected or used.
